Departments are structural units of the Faculty, which perform the following tasks related to teaching:
- they develop drafts of curricula and syllabi and their alterations and amplifications within the course of lectures offered by a particular department
- they develop research projects related to the course of lectures offered by a particular department
- they put forward proposals concerning human resources of a particular department
- they put forward proposals to purchase specialist and scientific literature for the needs of a particular department
- they put forward proposals to purchase equipment necessary for conducting study courses
- they carry out other tasks with the aim to improve scientific and educational activities of the Faculty, in accordance with the Law and the Statute of the Faculty
Departments are also engaged in scientific and research work; they encourage international cooperation and participate in projects. Accordingly, they carry out the following tasks:
- they cooperate with domestic and foreign faculties
- they grant logistical support to expert and scientific projects, domestic as well as bilateral or international.
